Formula 1 has officially published its first sport-wide Social Impact Report, revealing that over half a million young people across the globe benefited from various F1 educational programmes throughout the 2025 season. These global initiatives were specifically designed to educate, inspire, and open accessible career pathways into motorsport for youngsters originating from 71 different countries.
As part of its ongoing commitment to inclusivity, Formula 1 has also renewed its well-established engineering scholarship programme, initially founded back in 2021. This vital renewal secures funding for another three academic years, promising a total investment of more than £2.4 million to alleviate financial obstacles and accessibility barriers to higher education.
Under the renewed scholarship scheme, full tuition fees and living costs will be fully covered for ten new scholars each year spanning the 2026/27 through 2028/29 academic cycles. Prestigious partner institutions participating in this initiative include the University of Strathclyde, Imperial College London, the University of Cambridge, the University of Oxford, and MUNER in Italy.

The newly unveiled social impact data collates contributions from governing body the FIA, all ten competing constructor teams, and 24 race promoters during the 2025 calendar. These collective efforts operate strictly in accordance with the strategic recommendations put forward by The Hamilton Commission, launched by seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton alongside the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2021.
F1 Chief Executive Officer Stefano Domenicali emphasized the extraordinary potential held within the global motorsport community to drive meaningful societal change. "Formula 1 has an extraordinary power to inspire, and we want everyone to believe there is a place for them in our sport," Stefano Domenicali stated, as reported by Motorsport.com.

Domenicali further noted that the organization is actively turning long-term commitments into tangible actions across motorsport to break down systemic barriers. By renewing the engineering scholarship and heavily investing in grassroots communities, F1 aims to nurture exceptional future talent and inspire upcoming generations.
