The remarkable milestone achieved by Kimi Antonelli in securing the Formula 1 world championship in Mexico City last week continues to send ripples of excitement throughout the paddock. The Italian prodigy's triumph as the youngest world champion in F1 history has drawn widespread acclaim, including a striking career prediction from former Ferrari star Felipe Massa.

Speaking to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Massa shared his admiration for the prodigious talent of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team charger. The Brazilian veteran noted that Antonelli's exceptional abilities were already evident during his karting days long before he made waves on the international single-seater stage.

"I have known Kimi since he was 13 years old, back when he was still racing karts," Massa recalled. "He has always been a humble, respectful, and very nice guy, but as soon as he got behind the steering wheel, he possessed something special, something truly unique."

While Antonelli's immediate focus remains locked on the ongoing Brazilian Grand Prix weekend at Interlagos alongside teammate George Russell as they chase the constructors' crown, long-term projections regarding his career trajectory are already capturing headlines. Massa firmly believes that despite his ideal current environment under Toto Wolff, the young champion's ultimate destination years down the line will involve a move to Maranello.

"I am convinced of it. I even told his father directly," Massa stated regarding a future move to Ferrari. "Joining Mercedes was the perfect choice because they have done an incredible job with him. He was able to develop rapidly and had everything he needed to win under the incredible leadership of Toto Wolff. I hope he stays on board to win two, three, or five world titles, and then he will move to Ferrari to try and keep winning with that team."

Massa's bold endorsement adds a fascinating layer to the long-term landscape of Formula 1. As Antonelli continues to hone his race craft, braking precision, and tire management at the pinnacle of motorsport, the prospect of a future chapter in red remains an intriguing possibility for the Italian sensation.
