Erebus Duo Dominate Co-Driver Session at The Bend
TO NEWS OVERVIEW

Erebus Motorsport flexed its muscles in the co-driver session at The Bend Motorsport Park, with Lochie Dalton setting the pace at 1:17.4144. He edged out teammate Jarrod Hughes by a mere 0.1005 seconds, locking out the top two positions and sending a clear warning to the rest of the field.

Dalton, who switched from Tickford to Erebus in the off-season, admitted the car was a handful. "It’s quite difficult to drive at the moment," he said. "I think we can make it a lot better and there is obviously a lot more in us drivers." Despite a moment at Turn 5 where he ran wide onto the grass, he remained upbeat. "I would rather have this than a slow car, for sure. The team has done a great job, just need to fine-tune."

Behind the Erebus pair, Mark Winterbottom was the best of the Ford runners in third, 0.1469s adrift. He led Will Davison (Grove Racing) and Reuben Goodall (Tickford Racing) as the top five was completed.

The session provided valuable data for teams ahead of qualifying and the race. Erebus, renowned for its speed in the Ryco Enduro Cup, looks strong but knows there is more to come. Practice 5 gets underway at 12:00pm ACST, offering another chance for teams to dial in their setups.
