Building a race-winning motorcycle is a monumental challenge that has humbled many established manufacturers, making the rapid rise of newcomer ZX Moto even more remarkable since their inception in 2024. Their high-profile collaboration with Evan Bros Racing immediately paid dividends, culminating in a stellar 2026 WorldSSP campaign where they secured runner-up honors in the championship standings with six brilliant victories and eight podium finishes.

Armed with the three-cylinder powered 820RR, the ambitious manufacturer refuses to rest on its laurels as preparations ramp up for the upcoming season. Speaking about their developmental trajectory, star rider Valentin Debise outlined the aggressive steps being taken to bridge the gap to the absolute front runners of the fiercely competitive Supersport category.

ā€œRight now we are riding the base model, the cheapest bike in the range, and next year we are moving to a slightly more advanced model with different specs: different engine, different fork, brakes, a few other things, the rims, and so on,ā€ Debise explained, highlighting the comprehensive hardware overhaul planned for the upcoming championship battle.

The technical evolution aligns with ZX Moto's initial vision to manufacture three distinct performance tiers, though the ultimate racing spec was still under final preparation during their early introduction phase. Shifting focus toward the RR specification marks a crucial milestone in weaponizing the machine for sustained success against elite factory outfits.

However, navigating the championship's technical regulations and balance-of-performance metrics remains a careful balancing act for the engineering squad. Debise remains pragmatic about potential power gains amid shifting championship rules that often neutralize raw horsepower advantages.

ā€œThis winter is going to be another crazy winter, even though compared to last year we are still ahead of schedule because back then we didn't have a single ready bike,ā€ the Frenchman concluded, emphasizing that intense winter development is vital to fend off an increasingly hungry wave of new rivals.
