According to celebrity watch-spotting account Watches of Celebrities, the Monegasque driver wore a rare Richard Mille RM 33-02 crafted in Carbon TPT and rose gold. The sophisticated timepiece is estimated to carry a market value of 125,000 USD. The watch model was originally limited to just 140 pieces worldwide when it was first introduced to the luxury market.
Straying away from the brand's signature barrel-shaped cases, the RM 33-02 features a distinctive round case constructed from layers of carbon fiber alongside a platinum rotor. As a long-standing brand ambassador, Charles Leclerc has frequently been spotted wearing various high-end creations from the Swiss watchmaker throughout his competitive career.
The Ferrari stalwart arrived in Sao Paulo slightly later than usual following the birth of his daughter, Bianca, just days before the official race weekend kicked off. The momentous personal milestone brought profound joy to the racing driver as he balanced his intense professional commitments with a major life event at home.
"It has been a very, very special week for me," Charles Leclerc told the media after the qualifying session. "Probably one of the best weeks of my life, obviously. There's the professional life, and there's also the life that is at home. And the life at home in those moments is the only thing that matters. And this week was incredibly special."
Asked whether it was difficult to maintain track concentration amidst such emotional highs, the driver emphasized his ability to switch mental gears once inside the cockpit. "When you close the visor as a driver, you kind of reset. I've had other moments where in my life things were very difficult. And this time it's on the other side of the spectrum where things are incredible. But in both those extremes in my private life, I think once you close the visor, you are really very much focused on one thing and one thing only," he added.
