The underlying tension within Scuderia Ferrari following the opening-lap skirmish at the Mexico City Grand Prix has officially dissipated. Charles Leclerc has made it clear that discussions with his teammate have successfully resolved their differences following a constructive clear-the-air meeting.
The intense wheel-to-wheel clash between the two red cars at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez previously handed Max Verstappen a golden opportunity for victory. To prevent any lingering fallout, Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton, and team principal Frederic Vasseur sat down on Thursday evening to align their approach for upcoming Grand Prix weekends.
Addressing media representatives ahead of track sessions, the Monegasque driver emphasized that transparency was vital to moving forward productively.

"Personally I was very direct of course and I think it was positive to talk about it. I always think it is necessary after a moment like this. I believe the issue was blown completely out of proportion and it went on for way too long," stated the qualifying specialist.
Leclerc acknowledged that housing two elite championship contenders naturally carries high stakes and intense competitive pressure on track.
"Now everything is fine between us. Of course there is tension, of course we want to finish ahead of each other and sometimes we will not do things the right way. And sometimes it is fine to disagree on how things are seen, but discussing it helps immensely and you have to find common ground," he added.
Concluding his remarks, he noted that the timing was right to put the discussion to bed and fully concentrate on the remaining challenges on the calendar. Read our in-depth analysis to stay updated on the latest paddock dynamics.
