Nicolo Bulega once again proved his dominance in WorldSBK with a commanding victory in the Superpole Race at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours. The Ducati rider finished two seconds ahead of teammate Iker Lecuona in a race full of drama.
Tense Moment at Turn Five
The biggest drama came midway through the race when Lecuona misjudged his braking point at turn five, nearly hitting Bulega from behind. He was forced to cut the corner to avoid contact, while Bulega took the inside line at turn six.
Lecuona ran wide and cut turn seven, dropping to third behind Sam Lowes before quickly reclaiming second. Lowes held third until the final lap, but crashed at turn three, promoting Yari Montella to the podium.
Alberto Surra finished fourth, matching his best WorldSBK result, ahead of Alex Lowes, Tommy Bridewell, Lorenzo Baldassarri, and Xavi Vierge. Remy Gardner crossed the line eighth but was penalized one position after the flag, handing eighth to Vierge and leaving Gardner ninth.
Penalty and Last-Lap Battle
