The former Aussie Racing Cars champion Anderson has added another prestigious title to his racing resume by securing the inaugural Mustang Cup Australia championship. Displaying a mature and calculated driving style, he cruised home to a comfortable third-place finish after qualifying in the exact same spot. Consistency proved to be the ultimate weapon for Anderson as he fended off fierce competition throughout a dramatic weekend of motorsport action.

As a reward for his championship triumph, Anderson will be awarded an exclusive test session behind the wheel of a Gen3 Ford Mustang run by Triple Eight Race Engineering. In addition to the coveted test opportunity, he also secured 5000 dollars in Michelin tyre credit to support his campaign for the upcoming Mustang Cup season. Meanwhile, the second race was completely dominated by talented junior driver Wickham, who showcased supreme pace from the moment the lights went out.

Wickham capitalized on an exceptional start, seizing the lead in the opening laps and managing his tires masterfully to cross the finish line 7.14 seconds ahead of his closest rival, Brock Stinson. Anderson safely claimed third position on the podium, while Ben Grice delivered an impressive performance to win the Dark Horse Legends class on his debut appearance as a substitute for Ben Kavich. The racing action delivered non-stop thrills from the front of the grid all the way to the back markers.

Title contender Joe Fawcett endured a monumental challenge after being forced to carve his way through the entire field from the rear of the grid following a post-qualifying exclusion. Displaying relentless determination, Fawcett fought valiantly to salvage a fifth-place finish. Although he missed out on the overall championship crown, Fawcett's impressive recovery earned him the Dark Horse Junior title, with the grand prize being an all-expenses-paid trip to the Ford Racing Technical Centre in Concord, North Carolina.

The intensity on the track was evident right from the opening lap as Wickham and Stinson went wheel-to-wheel down the long straight toward the first corner. Stinson attempted a daring move around the outside to snatch the lead into Turn 2, managing to hold onto the position despite struggling for grip through Turn 6 on multiple occasions. Behind the leading pack, further drama unfolded when experienced Supercars driver Lee Holdsworth collided with Fawcett at Turn 9, sending the championship contender spinning into the gravel trap.
