While Liam Lawson's long-term future at Visa Cash App Racing Bulls remains under discussion, the Faenza-based outfit has successfully secured a vital piece of its operational puzzle. Team principal Alan Permane has officially signed a contract extension keeping him at the helm until the end of 2031, ensuring absolute continuity alongside the senior Red Bull Racing operation.
This decisive move highlights the unwavering commitment of the broader Red Bull hierarchy to maintain structural stability across both F1 stables. Earlier, the Milton Keynes squad had already locked down its management framework following the contract renewal of Laurent Mekies.
Permane brings more than three decades of top-tier motorsport experience to the pit wall. Having spent 34 years within the Enstone organization through its various iterations, the British veteran has served in numerous technical capacities before taking over leadership responsibilities within the Faenza setup.

Reflecting on the crucial announcement, Red Bull corporate projects chief Mintzlaff praised the profound impact delivered by the experienced team leader. "Alan is doing a tremendous job, and the progress made by the team directly mirrors his extensive experience, dedication, and competitive mindset," he stated.
With Permane continuing his tenure alongside commercial counterpart Peter Bayer, the leadership structure remains fully equipped to drive future performance and long-term strategic objectives within the highly competitive Formula 1 grid.
