Kris Meeke is back on the European rally stage. The Northern Irishman will compete in the next round of the European Rally Championship, Rali Ceredigion, driving a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2. The event, held from September 4-6, also counts towards the British Rally Championship.
Meeke, who clinched the Intercontinental Rally Challenge title back in 2009, will be co-driven by Noel O'Sullivan. It's an intriguing twist, especially given the packed schedules of rivals like Teemu Suninen, who seems to rally every weekend. But Meeke thrives on such challenges.
Gratitude and Goals
"A big thanks to all my sponsors who've helped me out again, especially KES and the local sponsors, and of course, thanks to everyone for supporting me. It's very exciting," Meeke said. "I'm hopeful, but I don't underestimate the challenge with guys like Suninen who's been rallying every weekend... But I'm excited for the challenge."

Suninen currently leads the ERC standings by 25 points over Lancia driver Andrea Mabellini. Meeke's presence is sure to add spice to the battle, given his vast experience and proven pace.
Recent Form Promises
Meeke last drove a Rally2 car at Portugal's Rali da Madeira, where a mistake cost him victory. Prior to that, at the Donegal International Rally in June, he was leading before the event was halted due to a spectator fatality. There, he had been ahead of M-Sport Rally1 pilot Josh McErlean.
His last UK outing was the 2023 Roger Albert Clark Rally, where the engine in his Ford Escort Mk2 expired. Now, with a more modern Toyota, the former Citroen star is ready to prove his class once more.
