Evans Stumbles, Pajari Pounces

The gap between the two is now just 17 points, and Evans can no longer afford to relax.
On the other hand, Sami Pajari delivered an impressive performance, capitalising on the situation. The Finnish driver consistently ran at the front and managed to overhaul Evans. However, his lead is far from secure as Solberg keeps applying pressure from third.
Solberg Wins, Toyota Takes Manufacturers' Crown
Oliver Solberg's victory in Chile not only boosted his own chances but also sealed the manufacturers' title for Toyota. With this result, Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT sits on 614 points, comfortably ahead of Hyundai Shell Mobis WRT on 410. It is Toyota's 10th manufacturers' title, equalling Lancia's record.
Solberg now lies third in the standings with 209 points, just 21 behind Evans. With two rallies remaining, the fight for the drivers' crown is heating up. Hyundai, despite missing out on the manufacturers' title, still has a shot at the drivers' championship through its drivers.
Battle Heats Up Ahead of Italy
After Chile, the WRC heads to Italy for Rally Sardegna. Although its status as the season finale is not yet guaranteed, all teams and drivers will push to the limit. Evans must bounce back and avoid mistakes, while Pajari and Solberg are ready to pounce. The three-way Toyota battle will be the main attraction.
Outside the Toyota trio, Sebastien Ogier sits fourth with 171 points, followed by Hyundai's Adrien Fourmaux on 167. Takamoto Katsuta completes the top five with 163 points. Thierry Neuville, who has had a luckless season, is seventh on 129 points.
