A major shake-up has hit the Lancia rally operation as star driver Yohan Rossel confirms the end of his successful partnership with long-time co-driver Arnaud Dunand. The duo, who have shared numerous triumphs together inside the cockpit over the past several years, will no longer continue their collaborative journey in the World Rally Championship.
The news initially came to light during an interview with Rallye-Sport, where Rossel candidly admitted that he did not yet know who would be calling the pacenotes for him at his upcoming event in the Canary Islands. This sudden vacancy leaves a crucial puzzle piece for the team to solve as they prepare for the relentless demands of upcoming rally stages.
Over the weekend, Rossel took to social media to officially confirm that their tenure together had concluded. While keeping specific details regarding the split private, the French competitor paid tribute to their shared history. "Arnaud has decided to take his career in a new direction," Rossel wrote in a brief statement detailing the departure.

Having teamed up initially back in 2022, Rossel and Dunand forged a formidable alliance in the fiercely competitive WRC2 category. Together, they accumulated a remarkable tally of eight WRC2 round victories, highlighted by three impressive class wins secured this season aboard the Lancia Ypsilon Rally2.
Looking ahead, Rossel has already sampled life without Dunand in the passenger seat, having partnered with Alexis Maillefert during the recent Criterium des Cevennes rally where Maillefert claimed his maiden victory in the French Rally Championship. As the service park buzzes with speculation, attention now turns to who will step up to guide Rossel through the remainder of the motorsport calendar.
