The 2027 WorldSBK grid is set for a major shake-up as independent powerhouse Go Eleven officially confirms its expansion to a two-bike lineup running Ducati Panigale V4R machinery. This milestone for Gianni Ramello's squad has been made possible by a substantial financial boost from key sponsor Pata, spearheaded by prominent paddock figure Remo Gobbi. Ever since partnering with the Borgo Panigale manufacturer back in 2019, the Italian outfit has consistently proven its competitive pedigree, highlighted by Lorenzo Baldassarri securing an impressive sixth place in the overall world championship standings.
Turning the long-cherished dream of running a dual-rider lineup into reality required years of meticulous planning and roughly 750,000 euros in additional operational budget. The financial hurdle was kept manageable thanks to existing spare parts inventory and focused 2027 updates from Ducati centered on the engine and swingarm. The arrival of snack manufacturer Pata as a direct team backer proved to be the decisive catalyst, solidifying the partnership that allows the team to take the next big step in their racing journey.
Securing the necessary grid slot proved to be the final hurdle in recent weeks. Championship promoter Liberty Media budgets strictly for 22 permanent entries to align with overseas air freight subsidies, which can easily scale into six-figure costs per rider for flyaway rounds. The path only cleared when German squad MGM Ducati withdrew due to financial constraints, coupled with Marc VDS maintaining a single-bike entry and new manufacturer CF Moto delaying its entry until after the 2027 summer break.

For independent operations, maintaining full-time entries is paramount to avoid absorbing crippling overseas logistics costs without promoter assistance. After weeks of uncertainty, the team officially announced on October 21st that all regulatory and logistical requirements had been successfully met. This crucial confirmation guarantees their expanded presence on the international stage for the upcoming racing calendar.
On the rider front, Lorenzo Baldassarri's contract extension for 2027 was officially locked in on October 13th, while the second seat alongside him is widely anticipated to be filled by former Supersport World Champion Albert Arenas. With a formidable two-rider lineup and bolstered backing, the Italian outfit is primed to make a major impact as the competitive landscape of the production-based world championship evolves.
