Sebastian Vettel shook the Formula 1 paddock at Monza once again. Not for a race, but for a nostalgic demo run in Michael Schumacher's iconic Ferrari F2002.

The German driver performed in front of the Tifosi packing the circuit, racing Schumacher's legendary machine as a tribute ahead of the Italian Grand Prix. His donut display on track sparked wild euphoria.

An Emotional Moment that Touches the Heart

Vettel, who idolized Schumacher since childhood, couldn't hold back his feelings after completing the honorary lap. "It felt like I had won the race before it even started," he said, visibly emotional.

"I'm mixed up in feelings. On one hand it's such a beautiful car to drive, but much more it's Michael's car. He's not here today but I felt him a lot in these laps. I hope you heard him and felt him as well," he added.

A Love for Racing That Never Fades

Vettel insisted that despite retiring, his passion for the sport remains strong. "I love racing. I know that I quit racing but in my heart I'm still a lover and I do deeply care for this sport," he stated.

He also highlighted the power of the fans that make F1 so special. "There's a real power to propel it forward for the future. But today is Michael's moment and we send all our love and emotions to him," Vettel said.

Ferrari is honoring Schumacher 30 years after his first season with the Maranello squad in 1996. Both SF-26 cars feature a special livery inspired by the F310, Schumacher's first Ferrari.
