Tom Chilton Wins Feisty BTCC Knockhill Race 3 of 2026

Tom Chilton finally broke his duck by taking his first British Touring Car Championship win of the 2026 season in a typically feisty Race 3 at Knockhill. Starting from pole, Chilton made the most of his soft tyre advantage, sprinting away as the lights went out.

Ash Sutton, who started from 12th after his Race 2 triumph, could only watch as Chilton inherited pole. Meanwhile, the NAPA Racing UK trio of Lewis Selby, Sam Osborne, and Dan Cammish lined up behind, with the Cataclean Plato Racing pair of Adam Morgan and Dan Rowbottom starting from P8 and P11. Drama unfolded early as Gordon Shedden suffered a puncture, causing his car to crab heavily and lose positions.

Adam Morgan was the star of the opening laps, making up places and soon challenging for the lead. He brilliantly passed Cammish and then Selby to move into second place. However, Selby's strong run faded as he dropped down the order due to tyre degradation, eventually finishing outside the points.

In the midfield, Sutton found himself in a fierce battle, trading places with the Power Maxed Racing and Restart Racing cars. Meanwhile, Chilton remained untroubled at the front, controlling the gap to Morgan. At the flag, Chilton took his first win since Donington Park GP in 2025, with Morgan collecting another podium for Plato Racing and Cammish completing the top three.
