A major development shook the production-based racing paddock as Motozoo announced its ambitious plans to enter Suzuki into the WorldSSP championship. This strategic move marks a significant milestone for the Japanese manufacturer, expanding its racing footprint into international rounds such as Australia and the historic upcoming debut in China. Fans eagerly anticipate how the traditional brand will measure up against fierce competition in the fiercely contested middleweight class.

However, entering the championship comes with a major technical hurdle. The weapon of choice, the Suzuki GSX-R750, does not feature a factory-installed ride-by-wire throttle system. Because electronic throttle control is a strict mandatory requirement under the current Supersport regulations, the motorcycle cannot participate in the world championship without a compliant electronic architecture.

To solve this complex engineering challenge, Motozoo partnered with the renowned American outfit Team Hammer. Drawing on an impressive 46-year heritage across various motorsport disciplines, the legendary racing squad provided their proprietary ride-by-wire system alongside crucial technical support and components refined in the highly competitive MotoAmerica paddock.

Chris Ulrich, Vice President of Team Hammer, shared his enthusiasm for the cross-continental collaboration. "I initiated the design and development of the ride-by-wire system and convinced the factory to homologate the motorcycle back in 2022," stated Chris Ulrich. He further emphasized the proven success of the platform across diverse championships including MotoAmerica, the Isle of Man TT, as well as British and Dutch national series.

This full-season entry brings a welcome return for the Hamamatsu brand to the WorldSSP grid, having previously contested a full campaign back in 2013. With expert technical backing and proven hardware, the iconic machine is poised to inject fresh rivalry into the middleweight category against established heavyweights.
