Danilo Petrucci's future remains undecided at present, but there remain significant opportunities in both WorldSBK and MotoAmerica for the seasoned Italian rider. The former MotoGP race winner was immediately linked with a potential MotoAmerica switch after BMW decided to replace him in WorldSBK.

The Bavarian brand had initially offered Petrucci a competitive place within its official MotoAmerica setup, but reports from GPOne indicate that this specific offer has now been withdrawn in favour of signing a different rider for the upcoming campaign.

Concurrently, Petrucci has engaged in ongoing talks with the GoEleven Ducati squad to secure his stay in the WorldSBK paddock. However, the independent satellite outfit is reportedly also heavily considering 2026 CIV Superbike champion Alessandro Delbianco, who brings substantial backing from Pata.

Amid these shifting options, an alternative door has remarkably swung open in the United States. The Attack Performance Yamaha team – which recently claimed the 2026 MotoAmerica Superbike title with Bobby Fong – has officially made a direct approach to the Italian veteran.

Petrucci is certainly no stranger to American racing, having competed full-time in MotoAmerica back in 2022 alongside the Warhorse HSBK Ducati outfit. During that impressive campaign, he secured five race victories before narrowly losing the championship title to Attack Performance's Jake Gagne.

Speaking ahead of the Spanish WorldSBK round at Jerez, as reported by GPOne, Petrucci acknowledged the fresh interest from the dominant American squad. "They approached me and it's something I like," Danilo Petrucci stated regarding the unexpected US offer.

He further emphasized the appeal of the competitive structure, noting, "Also because it's the team that won this year and the one I battled with in 2022, the year I raced there. They are certainly very well prepared and I still want to race, and I would like to find something I enjoy and that motivates me."

Despite weighing multiple avenues for his racing career, Petrucci admitted that clarity is still lacking regarding his final destination. "They are good options, but I still don’t have a clear picture," he explained. He concluded by adding, "I still don’t have a clear picture of the two situations because in either case there are still things they need to tell me."
