A demanding stretch awaits Roope Korhonen through the final two weekends of October as the Finnish driver transitions directly from European Rally Championship (ERC) action in Portugal to a demanding new gravel challenge in Spain.
Event organizers have officially confirmed that Korhonen will contest the upcoming Granada Rally scheduled for the final weekend of October. This high-profile competition serves as a prominent fixture within the official Spanish Gravel Rally Championship calendar, testing machinery and crews on abrasive loose-surface roads.
Confidence will undoubtedly be high for the reigning winner, who previously triumphed at the event alongside co-driver Anssi Viinikka. During last year's campaign, the duo displayed masterclass control to secure a dominant victory, finishing more than a minute ahead of Mexico's Mauro Alejandro.

That previous triumph required immense tactical execution, particularly during the opening phases when Korhonen engaged in an intense battle for the lead against compatriot Mikko Heikkila. The momentum shifted dramatically on the fourth special stage when Heikkila suffered terminal car damage following an off-road excursion, clearing the path for Korhonen's surge.
This year's edition of the Granada Rally promises intense sporting action, featuring a compact yet challenging itinerary comprising eight regular special stages on Saturday, October 31, preceded by an entertaining short city stage on Friday evening.
