Diogo Moreira is a highly talented Brazilian racer who made major history by becoming the 2025 Moto2 World Champion. Mentored by Brazilian racing legend Alex Barros, Moreira is known for his aggressive yet calculated riding style. His success in conquering the intermediate class not only proved his exceptional talent but also successfully brought the Brazilian flag back to the MotoGP premier class grid in the 2026 season after an absence of nearly two decades.

Early Career & Moto3 Breakthrough (2022–2023): Leaving Brazil for Spain at a young age to pursue a more competitive racing career, Moreira made his Moto3 world championship debut in 2022 and immediately claimed the Rookie of the Year title. His peak performance in the lightweight class occurred in 2023, where he scored an emotional maiden victory at the Indonesian Grand Prix, ending a 15-year Grand Prix podium drought for Brazilian riders.

Moto2 Transition & Historic World Championship (2024–2025): Stepping up to the Moto2 class in 2024 with the Italtrans Racing Team, Moreira once again showed extraordinary adaptability by securing the Rookie of the Year title. In the 2025 season, he was incredibly dominant, collecting crucial victories, and successfully clinching the Moto2 World Championship crown. This phenomenal achievement made him the first Brazilian rider to win a Grand Prix world championship in the modern era.

MotoGP Promotion with LCR Honda (2026–Present): Thanks to his brilliant talent and achievements, Moreira earned a multi-year factory contract directly from the Honda Racing Corporation (HRC). He officially stepped up to the MotoGP premier class in the 2026 season to ride for the LCR Honda satellite team, replacing Somkiat Chantra. His arrival ended the long wait for the Brazilian public since Alex Barros retired in 2007, carrying the massive mission of helping develop the Honda RC213V machinery back to the front of the grid.
