Marc Marquez topped Warm-up for the 2026 German MotoGP at the Sachsenring with a 1m20.119s, while Fabio Di Giannantonio suffered a fast crash late in the session.
Marquez displaced Di Giannantonio from first place during the closing minutes. The Ducati Lenovo rider ended the session 0.070 seconds clear of the VR46 competitor, while Alex Marquez completed a Ducati sweep of the leading three positions.
Di Giannantonio was reportedly evaluating the latest GP26 aerodynamic package before losing control on entry to Turn 8. His motorcycle rolled into the air fence, although the Italian was able to walk away from the accident.

Fabio Quartararo and Jack Miller were the two highest-placed non-Ducati riders in fourth and fifth. They finished ahead of Raul Fernandez and Francesco Bagnaia, who took sixth and seventh respectively.
The 10-minute session allowed riders to move from the soft rear tyre used in the Sprint to the medium compound. That change formed the central part of preparations for the 30-lap grand prix, where tyre management will carry greater importance.
Championship leader Jorge Martin finished only 14th, 1.247 seconds behind Marquez. The result suggested Aprilia still had significant work to complete after Martin had previously taken sixth in the Sprint.
Marquez will start the grand prix from pole position and is chasing a record 10th German MotoGP victory. His Warm-up pace strengthened his status as the main benchmark, although Di Giannantonio’s crash added further attention to the limits of the medium rear tyre before the race.
