Valentin Perrone ended Friday at the British Grand Prix as the fastest Moto3 rider, using a slipstream on his final lap to set a 2m 09.568s at Silverstone. The Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider edged Scott Ogden by just 0.010s, but the real story was Veda Pratama, the Indonesian rookie who impressed on a track he had never seen before.

Riding for Honda Team Asia, Pratama claimed third, just 0.071s off the pace, and was the top rookie of the session. "I'm still learning every lap, but happy to be fast straight away," he said. The result puts him ahead of more experienced names like Brian Uriarte and Casey O'Gorman, setting up a promising Saturday for the youngster.

Practice 2 was a typical late-session shootout, with the top 14 changing constantly in the final minutes. David Almansa, who topped FP1, dropped to sixth, while championship leader Maximo Quiles could only manage seventh. Home hero Eddie O'Shea climbed from 16th to 11th, but Matteo Bertelle was the unlucky one, falling from 10th to 15th after the final flurry of laps.

Marco Morelli improved from 15th to 12th with a last-ditch effort, while rookie David Gonzalez had a trip through the gravel but still finished 25th. The session sets up a fascinating Q1 on Saturday, with riders like Joel Kelso (18th) and Bertelle still fighting for a place in Q2. For Pratama, the focus now shifts to qualifying, where he hopes to continue his impressive debut weekend.
