The lightweight class championship battle delivered another thrilling chapter at the Sepang International Circuit, where high stakes reshaped the overall points standings. Fresh off securing the world title earlier, Maximo Quiles showed zero signs of slowing down, storming to his dominant 11th victory of the season to further cement his status as the absolute benchmark of the category.
With this latest masterclass, Quiles has stretched his commanding lead over David Almansa to a massive 148 points. Almansa safely holds onto second place in the riders' championship, but his cushion has shrunk dangerously, sitting just 23 points ahead of closely matched compatriots Brian Uriarte and Alvaro Carpe, leaving the fight for the runner-up spot wide open.
Meanwhile, the Manufacturers' World Championship battle has already reached its conclusion, with KTM officially securing the constructor crown following consistent development and stellar machinery performance all year long. Attention has also turned to standout Indonesian rising star Veda Pratama, who delivered an inspiring performance in Sepang to climb up to seventh in the standings with 131 points aboard his Honda machine.

Solid points finishes were also secured by Adrian Fernandez, sitting fifth with 157 points, and Valentin Perrone holding eighth position with 121 points. Further down the order, Matteo Bertelle maintains tenth place with 103 points despite enduring a challenging weekend in the demanding Malaysian heat.
The intense midfield battle continues to feature fierce competition from Joel Esteban in 14th with 78 points and Casey O’Gorman in 16th with 66 points. As the paddock prepares for the final rounds of the calendar, every single point will be fiercely contested in the battle for championship supremacy.
