Mataram turned into a special training ground for the female officers of the NTB Regional Police Traffic Directorate. At the Ex Selaparang Airport area on Thursday (3/9/2026), they rode big motorcycles (Moge) in an intensive session that is crucial preparation for security and escort duties (Pamwal) ahead of MotoGP in early October 2026.
This is not just a routine drill. Riding a Moge has far different characteristics from regular motorcycles; its dimensions and weight are larger, demanding solid operating techniques and control. These officers are being trained to master these heavy machines for smoother field operations.
Boosting Female Officer Capabilities
NTB Police Public Relations Head, Senior Commissioner Mohammad Kholid, emphasized that this training is part of a development program to enhance the skills of personnel, especially female officers, in using Moge. This is expected to support their duties in the field more effectively.
“This is one of the development programs to improve personnel capabilities, particularly for female officers in using Moge. We hope this will support their duties in the field,” Kholid said, as quoted on Friday (4/9/2026). With this training, officers' readiness to face various situations is expected to rise significantly.

The training is a key part of police preparations for MotoGP 2026. Enhanced skills are expected to make security and escort operations run more smoothly. These officers will be directly involved in escorting riders and official convoys, making Moge mastery essential.
