Soaring ambient temperatures reaching 35 degrees Celsius and track temperatures hitting 45 degrees greeted the lightweight class riders as they lined up on the grid at the Sepang Circuit. Unlike the disruptions faced a week prior, the tropical heat in Malaysia set the stage for a grueling battle where 25 young talents faced 15 demanding laps around the 5.54-kilometer layout.
Maximo Quiles, having already secured the Moto3 world championship crown, underlined his supreme pace by claiming pole position during qualifying. Lined up on the front row alongside Brian Uriarte and local hero Hakim Danish, the field braced for a high-intensity showdown under the fierce Malaysian sun, while Indonesian hopeful Veda Ega Pratama aimed to make his mark from the chasing pack.
As the lights went out, Quiles made a clean start to lead the pack into the tight opening right-hander. However, David Almansa quickly capitalized on the second corner to snatch the lead, sparking an intense multi-rider battle at the front that included Alvaro Carpe and Hakim Danish, while further back, Jesus Rios suffered an early crash.

As the race reached its one-third distance, tactical maneuvering came into play as Quiles executed a precise late braking move before the final hairpin to reclaim the lead. Entering the second half of the Grand Prix, the Aspar rider increased his pace by half a second per lap, attempting to break away from the pursuing group.
Behind the leader, fierce battles unfolded for the remaining podium spots involving Veda Ega Pratama and Alvaro Carpe, while Matteo Bertelle unfortunately crashed out at turn nine. Quiles ultimately crossed the line to seal another phenomenal victory, cementing his status at the peak of the Moto3 category.
