The international off-road racing landscape has been shaken by the official announcement confirming that Maxime Renaux and the Japanese manufacturer will go their separate ways following the conclusion of the 2026 racing season. This decision concludes an illustrious chapter spanning over a decade of partnership, which initially blossomed during his formative years in the junior categories aboard an YZ85 machine.

His meteoric rise on the global stage began in 2015 when the French rider conquered the 125cc Junior World Championship at El Molar in Spain riding a YZ125. That stellar campaign was further highlighted by three overall victories in the EMX125 series, immediately signaling his immense potential as a future cornerstone for the manufacturer's off-road racing division.

The pinnacle of their joint achievements arrived in 2021 when he secured the MX2 World Championship crown during his very first season as an official factory team rider. Despite encountering numerous physical setbacks and injury hurdles upon stepping up to the premier MXGP class, his unwavering resilience allowed him to cement his status as a regular race winner, accumulating a remarkable 19 GP race victories and 33 podium appearances.
