Esteban Ocon has broken his silence regarding his sudden benching from the Haas Formula 1 team at the Mexico City Grand Prix, emphatically rejecting swirling speculation that physical violence occurred behind closed doors.
The American outfit stunned the paddock on Saturday morning by announcing that reserve driver Ryo Hirakawa would replace Ocon for the remainder of the race weekend. The decision followed a tense FP2 session where Ocon voiced explicit frustration over a runplan change during a radio exchange with race engineer Laura Mueller.
In the absence of an official transparent explanation from team management, reports surfaced suggesting a heated confrontation between Ocon and team principal Ayao Komatsu. Seeking to clear his name, Ocon released a formal statement addressing the allegations directly.

"Last night, a difference in viewpoints led to a discussion with the parties involved," Ocon stated. "Whilst I acknowledge that this took place, I categorically reject any reports or allegations suggesting that any form of physical violence was used to resolve any differences of any nature. I strongly condemn violence in all its forms and firmly believe that disagreements should always be handled with professionalism."
Haas has continuously declined to elaborate further on the matter when pressed by media personnel in the paddock. Meanwhile, substitute Ryo Hirakawa struggled for ultimate pace on his unexpected F1 qualifying debut, managing to secure the 19th position on the starting grid.
