The 2026 world championship battle took another dramatic twist as Marco Bezzecchi delivered a masterclass performance to claim a dominant victory at the Lusail International Circuit.
When the lights went out, Bezzecchi made a stellar start to hold onto the lead through the opening corner. Behind him, chaos ensued as Raul Fernandez charged forward aggressively, displacing Fabio Di Giannantonio from the early podium contention.
The early laps highlighted the incredible pace of the Aprilia machines, allowing Bezzecchi and Fernandez to pull away by a three-second margin over the chasing pack, while Marc Marquez fought his way through the traffic.

As the race progressed into the latter stages, strategic tyre management played a crucial role. Pedro Acosta, who showed brilliant early speed, faced tyre pressure warnings that forced him to drop back, handing valuable positions back to Marquez.
Marquez capitalized on the opportunity, executing a clean overtake on Fernandez with four laps remaining to secure second place. However, Bezzecchi remained untouchable at the front, crossing the line to keep his championship ambitions alive in thrilling fashion.
