Lia Block is fully focused on securing her long-term future in rallying after experiencing a devastating title loss on the final stage of the American Rally Association season. The heartbreaking finale tested the young driver's resilience on the gravel stages.
Entering the season-closer sitting third overall while her title rival held second place, the 20-year-old competitor only needed to secure a fourth-place finish on the Lake Superior Performance Rally powerstage to become the first woman in history to claim the prestigious American national title.
However, a disastrous double puncture on the final points-paying stage resulted in Lia Block finishing just two points shy of Toyota driver Seth Quintero, who was contesting his maiden rallying campaign alongside commitments in the World Rally-Raid Championship.

Appearing on DirtFish’s weekly rallying podcast, SPIN, The Rally Pod, hosted by Josie Rimmer, she admitted that the last-stage heartbreak will sting for a considerable time but emphasized it will not overshadow a landmark season where she also became the first woman to win an ARA National round.
"I’m always that person that’s like, OK, I can’t change anything, let’s go forward," Lia Block stated, noting that she still needs time for reflection to truly appreciate the history made alongside her hardworking team throughout the year.
Detailing the dramatic moments on the powerstage, she pointed out that exceptionally dry conditions caused the road surface to break down rapidly, exposing sharp bedrock in corners unlike anything previously encountered at the LSPR event.
