A dramatic chapter unfolded at the Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace as Kimi Antonelli fought through a rollercoaster of emotions during the Brazilian Grand Prix weekend. The newly crowned Formula 1 world champion initially ran at the very sharp end of the grid before a costly spin on the 20th lap completely derailed his afternoon rhythm. Although he managed to salvage a fifth-place finish at the checkered flag, the race proved to be a severe test of resilience.

The critical moment struck early in the race when his machine inexplicably lost rear stability through the fast left-hand sweeping corners. "We need to check if anything is wrong with the rear, because I had an issue that showed up especially in the high-speed corners. It was only in the left-handers, the rear felt very unsettled even when I turned onto the start-finish straight," the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team star lamented, expressing genuine confusion over the handling anomalies.

The compounding effect of the spin ruined all four tires through severe flat spotting, forcing a massive recovery effort. Performance only stabilized once the team bolted on a fresh set of rubber. "The car felt really strange, and after I had my spin, all four tires had flat spots. Only on the second set could I find my normal pace again. That was a real pity," Kimi added with a sigh, later confessing his deep disappointment with the Grand Prix outcome before vowing to put the frustration behind him.

Despite the personal frustration on track, massive joy filled the Silver Arrows garage as the team officially locked down the coveted Constructors' World Championship crown. "The whole team deserves this, it has been an unbelievable year from everyone. Not just the people here at the track, but also the team members in Brixworth and Brackley have done an incredible job. It is an amazing group of people who give their best every single day, so they deserve this world title," the nine-time GP winner declared.

The eventful day concluded with a summons from the stewards following a near-miss in the pit lane involving Franco Colapinto during a frantic pit stop release. While the stewards handed down a five-second time penalty, it ultimately had zero impact on his final classification due to a comfortable gap over the chasing pack.
