Intense action immediately unfolded as young drivers hit the track for the FIA F3 post-season testing at the Circuit de Jerez. The dramatic opening day was ultimately commanded by Trident's Kean Nakamura-Berta, who clinched the overall top spot with a lap time of 1:31.169 to edge out his competitors.
The morning session started at a cautious pace as teams prioritized installation laps for the opening 90 minutes. AIX Racing was the first to venture out on track through James Egozi, before the top of the timesheets shifted dynamically through Matteo De Palo and DAMS Lucas Oil's Miguel Costa.
As the morning clock ticked down to the final 30 minutes, reigning teams' champions Campos Racing emerged with fresh medium tyres. Red Bull-backed Ernesto Rivera immediately surged to the front with a 1:31.217, closely followed by teammate Mattia Colnaghi and Van Amersfoort's Enzo Deligny.

After the lunch break, afternoon running saw teams shifting their focus towards long-run simulations. Rivera initially picked up where he left off before Niccolo Maccagnani briefly took over, until Nakamura-Berta unleashed a stellar lap in the dying minutes to seal the fastest time of the day.
Late drama concluded the day when Alexander Abkhazava stopped on track, bringing an early halt to proceedings. Post-session scrutineering resulted in the deletion of all afternoon lap times for Abkhazava due to insufficient fuel supply and Egozi for an underweight car.
