The final showdown of the FIM Supersport World Championship season delivered a thrilling climax at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto, where Jeremy Alcoba delivered a masterclass performance to claim victory. The Spanish rider secured a stellar one-two finish for the Kawasaki WorldSSP Team, edging out his teammate and sealing a crucial third position in the overall world championship standings.
Action commenced under overcast skies with a few drops of rain sprinkled at the grid, though the asphalt remained dry throughout the encounter. Drama unfolded immediately on the opening laps when newly crowned world champion Albert Arenas crashed out alongside Tom Booth-Amos following contact at hard-braking turn six, forcing both contenders into an early retirement.
Following the early chaos, an intense tactical battle for supremacy ignited at the front featuring Alcoba, Dominique Aegerter, Matteo Ferrari, and Can Oncu. The lead changed hands multiple times as the group traded paint and slipstreams through the twists and turns of the Spanish circuit.

Proceedings were brought to a premature halt with five laps remaining following a heavy crash involving Jorge Navarro at turn eight. Race control red-flagged the event, and with more than two-thirds of the race distance completed, results were officially declared based on the standing after twelve laps.
Alcoba was crowned the victor ahead of Aegerter and Ferrari, while Oncu crossed the line in fourth. That crucial win propelled Alcoba past Oncu in the final championship standings, concluding his campaign with 274 points and securing a hard-fought third overall.
