A dominant performance was delivered by Jeremy Alcoba during the dramatic World Supersport season finale at the Jerez circuit in Spain. The Kawasaki rider secured a brilliant victory when the final race of the year was red-flagged on lap 12. This crucial win allowed him to leapfrog Yamaha competitor Can Oncu in the championship standings, ultimately claiming a hard-earned third place overall.

The final three race weekends of the campaign proved that the Spanish rider was undeniably the strongest competitor on the grid. His impressive run featured double victories in Cremona, a strong podium performance in Estoril, and a stellar finish in Jerez with a second and first place. Securing four wins and two additional podiums from six races clearly highlights the massive step forward he made with his machine.

Speaking exclusively to media in the Jerez paddock, the Kawasaki star emphasized that he never doubted his own potential during the tougher phases of the championship. What can I say? I believed in it, worked hard, and therefore we deserve this. I live to win and I always knew my potential, Alcoba stated, reflecting on his remarkable late-season charge.

The resurgence was further validated by the competitive pace of his teammate Dominique Aegerter toward the end of the year. We pushed extra hard and had a really good feeling. Domi also felt comfortable on the motorcycle and was fast in the final races, Alcoba added, noting that the team successfully unlocked the true potential of the bike.

Curiously, the winning setup used by the Spanish rider completely defied the theoretical expectations of the factory engineers. If you ask the Kawasaki guys about the setup, you can see their despair because they say it should not work. But I got along with it very well, and the motorcycle worked great, potentially opening new doors for future riders.
