Jake Dennis has taken the lead of the 2026 Formula E drivers’ standings after securing two podium finishes during the Tokyo E-Prix double-header, with two races remaining in London.

The Andretti driver now has 146 points and holds a two-point advantage over Mitch Evans. Pascal Wehrlein sits five points behind Dennis after a damaging Tokyo weekend for both of his closest championship rivals.

Evans and Wehrlein failed to maximise the two races in the Japanese capital, transforming their previous advantage into an extremely close three-way contest. Oliver Rowland also remains firmly involved with 132 points.

Mathematically, nine drivers can still win the world championship. Nyck de Vries is the final rider within that group after his victory in the second Tokyo race lifted him to ninth with 94 points.

In the teams’ standings, Jaguar leads with 257 points and holds a 16-point advantage over Porsche. Andretti and Mahindra are also separated by only one point in the fight for third.

Despite trailing in the teams’ championship, Porsche has already secured the 2026 Formula E manufacturers’ title. The result preserves the German marque’s success while the drivers’ and teams’ contests remain open.

The final two races in London will decide the drivers’ and teams’ championships. With Dennis, Evans and Wehrlein separated by only five points, qualifying results, bonus points and finishing positions will all carry direct consequences for the 2026 Formula E title fight.
