Jack Miller successfully scored his first sprint points of the season in front of an enthusiastic home crowd at the Phillip Island circuit during the Australian Grand Prix.
The experienced rider showed strong pace throughout the weekend, utilizing the Yamaha M1's solid turning capability to compensate for a deficit in top speed along the straights.
Miller secured fifth place on the grid during a mixed-condition qualifying session before converting it into a seventh-place finish in the Saturday sprint race.

A shift in wind direction compared to Friday's sessions turned the opening laps into a unique learning experience as he adapted his racing lines.
Miller attempted to latch onto Pedro Acosta for fifth position before entering a dynamic yo-up battle with factory KTM rider Brad Binder.
This weekend marks a bittersweet milestone as the final Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island before the event transitions to a new venue in Adelaide by 2027.
