Heading into his home Grand Prix at the iconic Phillip Island circuit, Jack Miller arrives with exceptionally high spirits and absolute optimism regarding unpredictable weather conditions. The Australian rider admits his motivation is through the roof as he prepares to race in front of his loyal home fans at a venue deeply rooted in premier class history.
Weather conditions at Phillip Island have always played a dramatic role, and the local hero welcomes the forecast rain as a strategic advantage. According to Motosan.es, he openly expressed that Mother Nature might just be his strongest ally this weekend. “My mood is through the clouds. If we look back, this is an emblematic circuit that has given rise to some of the best races we have ever seen in MotoGP,” Miller stated.
The Pramac Racing rider specifically pointed out his machine's weakness in long gears, a major characteristic of the fast Australian layout, which makes wet weather a welcome equalizer. “Rain and dust can be seen, the wind cannot. If you see it, it is usually already too late,” he explained, highlighting the tricky nature of the coastal winds.
To commemorate the final chapter at the current Phillip Island layout before the event moves to Adelaide in 2027, Miller will sport a special green and gold livery as a tribute to his home country, a design greenlit by team boss Paolo Campinoti.
For the homegrown star, taming a MotoGP machine around this fast rollercoaster layout remains an unmatched experience. Fighting the bike through violent shakes, wheelies, and heavy gusts delivers a unique kind of adrenaline that makes competing in front of his home crowd truly special.
