Isack Hadjar Summoned by F1 Mexico GP Stewards After Paddock Incident

Tensions boiled over in the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez paddock as Isack Hadjar was summoned to see the Formula 1 stewards following an alleged misconduct incident. The Red Bull Racing driver reportedly pushed away a fan who was attempting to capture a selfie in the paddock area.

The governing body took immediate notice of the confrontation, issuing an official report stating an alleged breach of regulations. The situation unfolded right in the middle of a heavily pressured Friday for the young driver, whose on-track sessions had already been far from smooth.

“Alleged breach of Article 12.2.1.l of the FIA International Sporting Code - Misconduct, relating to an incident in the Formula 1 paddock today,” read the official stewards report released during the race weekend.

The friction off the track seemed to mirror the frustrations faced inside the cockpit during opening practice. FP1 proved to be a difficult outing, where power unit gremlins severely limited running time. The driver struggled to complete a meaningful number of laps, finishing down in 11th place and over a second adrift of pacesetter Charles Leclerc.

Technical setbacks restricted total mileage significantly, compounding the annoyance heading into the break between sessions. While afternoon running in FP2 showed an upward trajectory with a much improved sixth-fastest time, the earlier paddock altercation had already drawn official attention from the FIA officials.
