Some of the best slipstreaming action in single-seater racing takes place on the first weekend of November each year at Silverstone during the Formula Ford Walter Hayes Trophy.
There is once again a massive grid of over 100 cars for this year's edition, meaning the paddock is packed with plenty of stories and potential winners, featuring drivers from 14 different countries on track.
Defending winner Jason Smyth enters the event as a major focal point. After successfully defending his Formula Ford Festival crown, the Irish driver returns in his Van Diemen JL12 aiming to secure back-to-back victories at the prestigious event.
Competition at the sharp end will be fierce, notably with the return of Chris Middlehurst. The 2023 winner steps back into a Van Diemen LA10 after a year out, bringing immense experience and determination to reclaim his throne.
Meanwhile, Jordan Dempsey of Ireland driving a Medina Sport BH22 poses another massive threat. Having finished as the runner-up at the Formula Ford Festival in each of the last two years, he arrives with strong form and thorough preparation to conquer Silverstone once more.
