Intense pressure has gripped the Ferrari garage amidst rampant speculation surrounding the future of team principal Fred Vasseur. This turbulent climate has prompted Lewis Hamilton to issue a firm, direct instruction to every member of the Maranello squad, urging them to completely ignore the ongoing external noise.
Vasseur's future at the helm of the Scuderia has been called into question over the past few weeks following open remarks from former Red Bull boss Christian Horner, who publicly declared the top job in red as his dream role in Formula 1. Horner made it clear that Ferrari was the only team he would consider joining as an employee as he seeks a pathway back into grand prix racing.
The circulating rumours forced Ferrari chairman John Elkann and CEO Benedetto Vigna to issue a strong vote of confidence in Vasseur, who has been in charge since replacing Mattia Binotto. While Vasseur noted that the links to Horner were disrupting the team's inner serenity, Hamilton believes the psychological toll hits the mechanics and engineers on the shop floor far harder.

"For me, I don't read all the stuff, so it has zero effect on me. But of course, when I come into the room and see it, it definitely affects individuals in the team because every weekend they try to show up and do the best job they can, and they don't get it right all the time," Hamilton told media.
The seven-time world champion explained that external negativity heavily weighs on the staff when family members message them about speculative media reports, despite everyone giving their absolute best effort behind closed doors.
"The message is to not read any of the stuff that's being written, because the fact is nobody who's writing any of the stuff has actually any clue what they're talking about because they're not in the team. They don't know what's happening behind closed doors. They don't know how hard everybody's working. It's all done through assumptions and opinions. So that's just frustrating to see," Hamilton stated.
Despite the competitive challenges faced during the current campaign and the hurdles in their championship trajectory, Hamilton remains fully focused on laying the correct building blocks for the future development of the team.
"What we're going to do is just continue to try and focus on doing the best job we can, regardless of what's written. We will get to where we want to be. I knew in the second year of being in the team, we weren't going to be where we want to be, but I'm hoping and praying with the hard work of everybody, maybe next year we can get to where we want to," he concluded.
