Dino Beganovic will leave Formula 2 to focus entirely on his Formula 1 duties as a reserve driver for Scuderia Ferrari ahead of the 2027 season. This major career shift marks the next chapter for the young charger after years of development within the Maranello stable.

Beganovic has spent the past seven years as an integral member of the Ferrari Driver Academy following his success in capturing the Italian and Swedish karting championships, alongside securing the runner-up spot in the highly competitive WSK Euro Series.
During his tenure in the young-driver programme, the Swedish-Bosnian talent finished third as a single-seater rookie in Italian F4, claimed the Formula Regional European Championship title on his second attempt, and secured sixth place across both of his F3 campaigns.

The DAMS driver currently sits fifth in the 2026 F2 standings as a sophomore, highlighted by stellar back-to-back victories in Madrid and Baku that underscored his undeniable raw pace and racecraft in the feeder series.
Despite tasting victory in every full-time championship he has contested, Beganovic was ultimately edged in the main-grid race by fellow FDA protege Rafael Camara. The Brazilian currently leads the F2 standings as a rookie and inked a 2027 F1 deal with Haas, where he is set to partner with Oliver Bearman.
Consequently, the 22-year-old's junior career concludes without an immediate F1 race seat, paving the way for him to join Antonio Giovinazzi on Ferrari's reserve roster. Having already participated in four FP1 sessions with the Scuderia across 2025 and 2026, he will now shoulder extensive simulator and development duties.
