Fabio Di Giannantonio has responded to growing speculation surrounding his MotoGP 2027 future, confirming that all options remain open despite his strong performances with the VR46 Racing Team. The Italian also stressed the importance of respecting his current team throughout the 2026 campaign.
Di Giannantonio is currently Ducati’s highest-placed rider in the championship after four rounds, securing two podium finishes and sitting third overall. His consistency highlights a strong adaptation to the Ducati package, particularly in traction management and braking stability on high-grip circuits such as Jerez.
This form has attracted interest from multiple manufacturers, including KTM and Trackhouse Racing, Aprilia’s satellite project. The situation is further influenced by shifting dynamics within rival teams, including inconsistent performances from Maverick Vinales, opening the door for potential line-up changes ahead of the 2027 regulation cycle.

"I’m grateful for the moment I’m living. We are doing a really good job on track, and that reflects on the future with many teams interested."
However, Di Giannantonio emphasised that his situation remains completely open, comparing it to 2023 when no contract certainty existed. He confirmed that priorities have been defined with his management, but no final decisions have been made.
"Everything is fully open right now. I don’t have anything at the moment, so it’s like 2023. I’m pleased about the interest, but there’s nothing I can say."
He also criticised the intensity of rider market speculation, suggesting it can negatively impact team relationships. With the season still in its early phase, he believes the focus should remain on-track performance rather than long-term contract discussions.
"We are only four races into the season and I’m wearing these colours. Until the end, this is the best team and the best bike. That’s how it should be."
With consistent results placing him in a strong strategic position, Di Giannantonio now faces the challenge of balancing competitive focus with external market pressures, as teams begin shaping their line-ups for the upcoming regulatory era.
