F1 Dutch GP 2026 Result: Norris Wins, Verstappen DNF

Zandvoort, the circuit that witnessed Max Verstappen's glory days, hosted its final F1 race—and the night belonged to Lando Norris. The McLaren driver claimed his second consecutive win of the 2026 season, cementing his status as a dominant force in the midst of the Dutch GP farewell.

Starting from pole, Norris looked calm and composed. He built a comfortable lead early on, despite pressure from the aggressive Mercedes duo. But the most dramatic moment happened behind him: Max Verstappen had to end his race earlier than expected.

Verstappen, racing in front of his home crowd, was forced to retire after a technical issue on his Red Bull. The incident instantly reshaped the battle and left local fans disappointed. Still, the Dutchman received a warm applause as he climbed out of the cockpit.

On the other side, Kimi Antonelli once again showed his talent. The young Mercedes driver finished second, just 11.5 seconds behind Norris, beating his teammate George Russell who had to settle for third. This performance underlines that the German manufacturer's future is in safe hands.

The midfield battle was equally thrilling. Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc traded fast laps, with Hamilton securing fourth place for Ferrari. Meanwhile, Liam Lawson was the best Red Bull driver in seventh, though he had to watch his rivals pull away ahead.

With this result, Norris further solidifies his lead in the standings. However, the season is still long, and the threat from Mercedes and Ferrari is clearly not gone. The next race will test how long McLaren can maintain its dominance.
