The atmosphere inside the factory Ducati garage reached a boiling point after Pecco Bagnaia delivered cryptic remarks following a disappointing thirteenth-place finish at the Malaysian Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit. The two-time premier class world champion hinted at a mysterious technical factor that he claimed was no longer available, tracing its absence back to his strong form during previous tests in Misano and Motegi. This vague allusion immediately triggered confusion throughout the paddock as it steered clear of conventional setup or electronic adjustments.
Responding to the unexpected comments, Ducati team manager Davide Tardozzi appeared utterly baffled during his interview with Italian broadcasters. Tardozzi candidly admitted that he had no idea what his rider was referring to, noting that the technical crew—including veteran crew chief Cristian Gabarrini and electronic engineer Marco Pagano—has thoroughly investigated every possible avenue without finding a definitive solution to reverse the current slump.
"Unfortunately, my answer is that I do not know. We need to ask Pecco... I honestly have no idea what he is referring to," Tardozzi stated while expressing his sheer bewilderment regarding the ongoing performance impasse within the garage.

Tardozzi further emphasized that the Borgo Panigale factory has continuously implemented dedicated developments to assist the Italian rider throughout the season. He firmly pointed out that the Desmosedici machine assigned to the factory rider shares the exact same specifications and hardware layout as the bikes raced by Marc Marquez and Alex Marquez.
"The bike is the exact same one he used to fight for podiums and decisively win the Sprint in Brno, so we have no idea what is happening. The motorcycle is identical to the one that won with Marc and went to the podium with Alex," Tardozzi concluded, highlighting the team's ongoing search for answers as the championship enters its final stretch.
