Aprilia Racing rider Marco Bezzecchi had to settle for a sixth-place finish in Sunday's race. Following a strong podium result in Saturday's Sprint, the Italian rider had high hopes for the Grand Prix at the Sepang International Circuit, but severe front-end issues and high tire degradation heavily compromised his pace.

Starting the race with strong confidence, Bezzecchi tried to fight near the front group alongside riders like Alex Marquez and Pedro Acosta. However, he quickly realized that his machine was behaving differently compared to the previous day, struggling heavily with front grip and soaring track temperatures.

Reflecting on his struggles, Bezzecchi explained the technical difficulties he faced during the race. "To be honest, I did not expect to face this many issues, especially after the feeling I had on Saturday. In the early laps, I tried to make up as many positions as possible and stayed close behind Alex and Pedro, but the front-end problems escalated quickly," Bezzecchi stated.

During the race, Bezzecchi also found himself in a hard-fought duel with his teammate. The two riders made contact during an overtaking maneuver, prompting his garage partner to express a desire to apologize after the checkered flag.

Clearing the air regarding the incident, Bezzecchi insisted that no apologies were necessary. "To be honest, he was simply faster than me at that moment. I think he would have passed me a few corners later anyway, which is ultimately what happened. The contact was not ideal because we both risked crashing, but this is racing and these things happen. I do not blame him at all, and he does not need to apologize," he concluded.
