A spectacular track demonstration awaits fans at the Circuit of The Americas as motorcycle racing legend Dani Pedrosa prepares to pilot a KTM RC16 machine. The former premier class star and current factory test rider is scheduled to hit the asphalt on Saturday during the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix weekend in Austin, Texas.
This high-profile appearance marks a historic milestone as premier class grand prix motorcycles take to the Texan circuit during a Formula 1 event weekend for the very first time. Organizers anticipate an enormous crowd exceeding 400,000 spectators attending the race weekend festivities at the iconic venue to witness the unique crossover exhibition.
The track demonstration session is slated for Saturday from 11.40 to 12.00 local time, serving as a high-octane prelude right before the third Formula 1 free practice session. The experienced Spanish rider, alongside three other participants, will give the massive motorsport audience a direct taste of the sheer speed and acoustic signature exclusive to grand prix prototypes.

Expressing his excitement ahead of the unique weekend appearance, the veteran rider emphasized how much he enjoys returning to one of the most challenging layouts on the global racing calendar. He highlighted the massive scale of the American event as an ideal platform to showcase the distinct appeal of motorcycle racing to a broader international audience.
"It is always special to ride a MotoGP machine at COTA, one of the most spectacular circuits on the calendar. The Formula 1 United States Grand Prix draws a huge audience and this is a fantastic opportunity to show what makes our championship so unique," the factory test rider stated. He further noted that these machines offer an experience unavailable anywhere else in motorsport and expressed his eagerness to entertain the fans in Austin.
Alongside the on-track exhibition, championship organizers have arranged various promotional activities within the Fan Zone throughout the weekend, where all four grand prix machines will remain on public display. This promotional push also serves as a strategic buildup toward the upcoming official United States Grand Prix scheduled to return to the Austin circuit from April 23 to 25, 2027.
