Crick Ruled Out of Supercars Enduros, Jones to Sub

Matt Stone Racing (MSR) has been forced into a late driver change ahead of the Supercars endurance season. Cameron Crick has been ruled out of the remaining two enduro races — The Bend 500 and Bathurst 1000 — due to ongoing health issues, with Carrera Cup ace Harri Jones stepping in as his replacement.

Crick had originally secured a three-event program with MSR, starting with a wildcard in Townsville before partnering Jack Le Brocq at The Bend and Mount Panorama. However, his health has taken priority, forcing him to sit out longer than initially hoped.

"First and foremost, our thoughts are with Cameron," said MSR owner Matt Stone. "He's become a genuine part of the MSR family over the past few years and the team will continue to support him however we can while he focuses on his recovery. We're looking forward to seeing him back racing in 2027."

Crick expressed gratitude for the team's support. "It's obviously tough to be stepping away from the enduros, but right now my health has to come first," he said. "I'm incredibly grateful to Matt and the team for the support they've shown me, and while I'll be cheering from the sidelines this year, I'm working hard to return in 2027."

Jones, who made his Enduro Cup debut with Team 18 last year, was initially set to miss out on a second campaign until this opportunity emerged. "I'm really excited to be joining Matt Stone Racing for the Enduro Cup," said Jones. "The team has been really competitive this season, and it's a fantastic opportunity to work alongside Jack and the crew to deliver a strong result at Bathurst."

Jones has remained sharp by competing in Porsche Carrera Cup Australia with McElrea Racing. "He's proven himself at the highest level of Australian GT and Porsche competition, impressed in his Supercars opportunities, and comes highly regarded within the GM family," Stone added.

Jones is expected to get his first taste of MSR machinery at the pre-enduro test at Queensland Raceway on the Tuesday after the Ipswich Super440, a crucial session to build chemistry with Le Brocq before the season's longest races.
