Circuit Paul Ricard continues to be the stage for BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team as they assert their dominance in the 2026 Bol d'Or. As the race enters its 19th hour, the #37 BMW M1000RR leads by a comfortable two laps over the #12 Yoshimura SERT Motul Suzuki. This commanding position puts the Belgian squad on the brink of their first EWC World Championship title.
With five hours remaining, endurance racing can still throw surprises, but BMW's consistent pace has given them a significant advantage. Meanwhile, F.C.C. TSR Honda France #5 holds third place, less than a minute behind Suzuki, setting up a tense battle for the final podium spot.
For reigning world champions YART Yamaha #1, the title defence is slipping away. Currently running fourth, they lack the pace to challenge for the podium, let alone the second-place finish they likely need to retain the crown. As it stands, BMW would seal the championship by eight points, provided the #37 machine avoids any late mechanical issues or rider errors before the chequered flag.
Behind the top four, positions among the other EWC contenders have largely stabilised. The #99 Elf Marc VDS Racing Team / KM99 Yamaha holds fifth, ahead of the #11 Kawasaki Webike Trickstar in sixth and the #6 ERC Endurance BMW in seventh. Meanwhile, Wojcik Racing Team's #77 Honda leads the Superstock category from eighth overall.
Although track conditions were relatively calm on Sunday morning, the toll of endurance racing continues to claim victims. Three more entries retired between the 16th and 19th hours: the #85, #63, and #113 bikes all forced to withdraw. This serves as a reminder that the 2026 Bol d'Or still holds plenty of drama before the finish line.
As the clock ticks down, BMW #37 must stay focused and avoid any mistakes. If they can maintain their performance until the end, the world championship will be theirs. However, Yoshimura SERT Motul and F.C.C. TSR Honda France will not give up without a fight. The race is far from over, and the 2026 Bol d'Or is shaping up to be one of the most thrilling editions in EWC history.
