BMW has shaken up the naked bike segment with the M 1000 R 2027, a motorcycle that combines insane 210 HP power with active aerodynamics. Not just an ordinary roadster, this bike is designed to deliver superbike thrills without the need to crouch behind fairings.

Engine from the M Family

At the heart of the M 1000 R is a 999cc inline-four engine with ShiftCam technology that can rev to 14,600 rpm. Peak power of 210 HP arrives at 13,750 rpm, while maximum torque of 113 Nm is available at 11,100 rpm. Its top speed reaches 280 km/h, making it one of the fastest naked bikes in the world.

This engine is inherited from the S 1000 RR, with some adjustments for roadster character. BMW has shortened the fourth, fifth, and sixth gear ratios for more responsive acceleration on track. The ShiftCam system ensures smooth power for daily use, but it's ready to explode when revs climb above 10,000 rpm.

Aerodynamics in the Naked Class

The most striking feature is the M winglets on the sides of the front. They're not just for show; at 220 km/h, they generate 11 kg of downforce on the front wheel. The effect is tangible: better stability during acceleration, the front wheel stays planted, and braking can be done later.

With this approach, BMW wants to prove that naked bikes can also be aggressive on the circuit. All the electronics, including riding modes and traction control, are taken from the M 1000 RR superbike. As a result, the M 1000 R 2027 is not just a naked bike, but a superbike that stands tall.

As reported by Motosan.es, this bike will be a new favorite for those wanting maximum performance without compromising comfort. With a combination of brutal power and advanced technology, the M 1000 R is ready to challenge its rivals in the class.
