Formula 1, Sportrik Media - Aston Martin is set to become the 11th and final team to reveal its official Formula 1 livery for the 2026 season, with a live launch scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia on Monday evening.

The Silverstone-based outfit enters the new regulatory era with ambitions of mounting a genuine championship challenge. Those hopes have been fuelled by the first on-track appearance of the AMR26, designed under the technical direction of Adrian Newey, which attracted attention during its limited running at the Barcelona shakedown.

For 2026, Aston Martin takes on the status of a de facto works team, running exclusively with Honda power. The manufacturer partnership is a key pillar of the team’s long-term strategy as Formula 1 embarks on a complete reset of its technical regulations.

Aston Martin also retains the most experienced driver pairing in grand prix racing history, with Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll continuing together for the new season. Between them, the duo has amassed a combined total of 614 Formula 1 starts, providing the team with an unparalleled level of experience during a period of significant technical change.

The team’s Barcelona shakedown programme was notably limited. Aston Martin did not take to the track until late on the fourth day of running, with Stroll completing just four laps before Alonso undertook the bulk of the work, logging 61 laps on Friday. Only Williams recorded fewer laps, having not run at all during the Barcelona event.

During the shakedown, Aston Martin ran the AMR26 in an all-black livery. Such temporary liveries are permitted for teams that had yet to officially unveil their 2026 colour schemes, allowing Aston Martin to keep its final design concealed ahead of the formal launch.

The live livery reveal in Saudi Arabia is scheduled to begin at 19:00 GMT (22:00 local time). The event will bring the 2026 Formula 1 launch season to a close, with all teams having now presented their visual identity for the new era.

As Formula 1 prepares to enter one of the most transformative regulatory periods in its history, Aston Martin’s livery launch represents more than a visual reveal. It serves as a statement of intent from a team aiming to establish itself as a front-running force, combining a renowned designer, a full manufacturer partnership, and a highly experienced driver line-up ahead of the opening phase of the 2026 season.
