2026 WRC Standings After WRC Greece: Evans Still Leads

Elfyn Evans continues to lead the FIA World Rally Championship standings following WRC Greece 2026. Although he missed the podium, the Toyota Gazoo Racing driver remains at the top of the standings with 158 points.

The Acropolis Rally once again lived up to its reputation as one of the toughest events on the WRC calendar. From the opening stages through SS17, crews battled rocky roads, extreme temperatures and repeated punctures, with the overall order changing several times throughout the weekend.

Sebastien Ogier eventually claimed victory after benefiting from Thierry Neuville's double puncture on Sunday's penultimate stage. The result lifted the eight-time world champion to third in the standings on 125 points, reducing the gap to Evans to 33 points and firmly reviving his championship challenge.

Takamoto Katsuta now occupies second place with 151 points after another consistent points haul in Greece. The Japanese driver joins Evans and Ogier in giving Toyota three drivers inside the championship top three, underlining the manufacturer's strong first half of the season.

Sami Pajari also enjoyed one of the biggest gains of the weekend. An aggressive Super Sunday strategy helped him finish fifth while collecting valuable bonus points, lifting him to fourth in the championship with 114 points after a remarkable recovery on the final day.

Oliver Solberg rounds out the top five with 103 points, ahead of Adrien Fourmaux on 97. Thierry Neuville dropped to seventh with 95 points after his hopes of victory disappeared following two punctures on the decisive Sunday stage.

Evans also endured a difficult rally. Alongside the challenge of sweeping the roads on Friday, he suffered a puncture and received a €2,000 fine after delaying the mandatory OK button procedure following a tyre change on SS13. Despite those setbacks, he collected enough points to retain the championship lead.

The championship now heads to Rally Estonia before moving on to Rally Finland. With only 33 points separating Evans and Ogier, and Katsuta continuing his consistent campaign, the title fight has become increasingly competitive following the dramatic sequence of events across SS2 to SS17 in Greece.
