Rallying is continuing its trend of delivering dramatic final-stage title deciders across major championships, with the British Rally Championship providing a thrilling conclusion at the season-ending Cambrian Rally.
Three drivers entered the final Saturday showdown with championship ambitions on the line in a winner-takes-all scenario. The battle featured Max McRae, Pryce, and Evans, all of whom had proven their pace throughout the 2026 season.
McRae seized the early advantage by carving out a 1.8-second gap over Pryce, but deteriorating weather conditions, an incorrect tire choice, and a costly spin soon halted his momentum. Left with a 14.9-second deficit and only four stages remaining, McRae unleashed a fierce counter-attack in his Skoda.

The young charger delivered a hammer blow on the penultimate test by beating the leader by 5.7 seconds over the 6.8-mile stretch. Despite a sensational push to close the gap to just 5.9 seconds heading into the final test, McRae and co-driver Cameron Fair ultimately missed out on the title by a razor-thin margin of 1.2 seconds.
The result handed Pryce his second British crown following his 2022 success, alongside a maiden title for co-driver James Morgan. Further down the field, Luke Constantine secured the Junior British Rally championship alongside Ifan Devine after overturning a deficit to seal a stellar comeback victory.
